from what i seen the vs2 and vs3 seem like good markers but everyone tells people not to get a spyder. why is that?

because they are spyders. you cant get things that you can for others. you have to go out and buy a custom barrel not just the basic cocker threads. also there are very few upgrades for them

i know but the makers seem acutally nice like vs3 is pretty good but i know you cant get many upgrades. And i know the company has a bad name because they sell other things like snowboarding crap. so yeah i was just asking.

they are cheaply made heavy pieces of crap.
just stay away from spyder if your gonna get into tourney ball.

The only people who should really shoot Spyders are woods ball players. People who want a cheap gun just for some backyard fun usually get ( or should get) Spyders, Piranhas, Tippman, etc. Those guns are not bad for that type of stuff. To use them for tournament play, speedball, hyperball, xball, etc. is not a great idea. You might as well get an Ion so u can upgrade it somewhat.

ok I cant dis on spyders too much cuz i owned one. and I loved it. I had an 01 spyder Flash with rocking trigger and a bunch of othe upgrades. It wasnt all that bad to me. I didnt like that the bolt came out the back and it would smack my lense. but i love the firepower. But mine was upgraded and i liked it. Now spyder is not a gun you can upgrade alot. and thats why i dnt like spyders. I like shockers, Proto's, Eteks, Ego's, and some auto cockers. and i am prolly missing a few but in general thats what i like. Spyder just doesnt cut it when it comes to playing speedball.

lol i love how are u ppl are like spyders dont cut if for speed ball when team bad company is spyder sponsored and has been playing in the NPPL and PSP since 2001. So if there whole team is shooting spyders that arnt cut out to play speed ball then how are they running in the national cirut???
So you can use a spyder for speedball and still keep up with any other high end gun out there since psp is at 10 bps now.

People are always touchy on this whole spyder topic. To me they are ok only if you are a newbie.

the other bad thing about spyder is that you can only get replacement parts from authorized dealers and they dont even carry that many parts most of the time you end up having to go home and wait a week while they order the piece that you need before the thing comes in

yeah but the thing is, it really comes down to the players opinion. me i dnt like them. i like em for woodsball but i would prefer an uped tippmann.I Shot a VS3 and i didnt like the feel of it. I couldnt really walk it. and i didnt like how it was eavier than my shocker. and my shcoker isnt light. and as they have said parts take time to get. and i am not a fan of waiting... lol. Mostly the reason i tell people not to buy a spyder is because of this.

Paintball is a very addicting sport. yes it hurts at first, but people still come back and play it again. they get addicted! so what do they do, they buy their own markers, (like a spyder), and then go play more and more. well then they want to play faster and maybe get into tournaments. well they dnt like that they dnt have ramping or the stuff higher end guns have. well. They spend the money on that gun, well they want a better one. and so they go spend money on a better gun. well i just say buy a good marker and justt stick with it. yes i have bought a few guns. i am still getting them. lol. but it comes down to the player itself. and some people dont like spyders cuz you cant make them how you like, with diffrent color feednecks and stuff.
